One of my completed projects from 2016! This is a photo album from my client's naval days and his travels to various countries. There are 142 photos contained in this album held in place with glued photo corner holders.
My client wanted each photo scanned and returned to the album in the same original order. After scanning each photograph at 300 DPI, each image was cropped, enhanced to improve color, lighten & brighten, small scratches & dust removed.
My client wanted a video montage created using the images with title pages that identified the different countries he visited along with the music of the day. Working together, we choose songs from that time and place that brought back so many memories.
The client received a customized flash drive engraved with the same title as the photo album along with a custom storage box.

Twenty-seven old VHS videotapes stored in a cardboard box inside a closet gathering dust along with those long-ago memories! The videos spanned the years from 1990 until 2005. They contained so many various events from the children’s childhood, such as sports events, dance recitals, holidays with family, vacations, and many more memories.
The digitized videotapes contained a total playtime of 77 hours, and we trimmed it down to 51 hours of playtime, a difference of 26 hours. When reviewing the digitized videos, it was found they include old TV recordings of movies and TV shows! Before the advent of DVR’s, if you wanted to watch your favorite TV show or film and you weren’t home or wanted to watch another program, you recorded it on your VCR onto VHS videotapes so you can watch it another day or time! Those old recordings are not something you want to save or add to your family video memories! We trimmed those from the final video file, so you only see what’s important to you and your family.
Those 51 hours of videos display a custom title page at the beginning that described the content such as “1990 Christmas Eve with Grandma & Grandpa” or “2000 Soccer Tournament Championship”. By adding a customized title page to your converted video, it will tell your family & friends what’s on the video and the who and when. The custom title pages are used in conjunction with the video file names based on date and event so you can quickly locate and identify.
The VHS tapes are your original artifacts, and you can choose if you want them returned in archival storage boxes.
The final project was delivered on flash drives with storage cases, an external hard drive along with a gift book listing the video file names for easy reference, providing years of enjoyment, and reliving those magical moments!
